1982年茨城県生まれ。グラフィックデザイン会社に勤務する傍ら、2013年よりiPhoneのみを使用した撮影とエディットを開始。ランニングクルー『AFE TOKYO』の専属iPhone Photographerとして一躍注目を集める存在となった。2014年にInstagram OfficialよりSuggested Userに選出。2017年にはApple銀座にてイベントを開催。グラフィックデザイナーやDJとして活躍しながら、本格的にフォトグラファーの道へ進む。Instagramでは密集感のある写真を発表し、絶大な支持を得る。2018年4月よりフリーランスに転身。様々なジャンルのブランドとのコラボレーションも行い、アジアを中心に精力的に活動中。村上隆やKAWSを始め、TYGA、Naomiなど数々の著名人のポートレート、ストリート、建造物、自然などを幻想的な色彩で切り撮るRKの作品は、日本に留まらず多くの海外メディアにも取り上げられている。

NYにてフォトグラフィーを学び、LAでフリーランスとしてデビューする。現在は東京を拠点とし国内外有名アーティストやタレントポートレート撮影、ファッション誌、広告など様々な分野の人物撮影を手がける。また自身で出版する雑誌NO magazine Tokyo ＠no_magazine_tokyoのクリエティブディレクターも兼任

New York- and Los Angeles-trained Masatoshi Yamashiro is the photographer in Tokyo. Masa has an internationally recognized portfolio in fashion, glamour, celebrity and entertainment photography, with his subjects including such global artists as Kanye West, Rihanna, Taylor Momsen, Nicole Scherzinger,etc. His work has appeared in numerous publications and advertising campaigns.

Matthew is currently a Tokyo-based fashion and lifestyle Director of Photography. His career in the industry started 5 years ago with editorial photography assignments in New York, London, Milan, Paris, Copenhagen and Shanghai. More recently the scope of his work has shifted from still to motion, often working with brands on fashion mood films. Editorial assignments have placed Matthew’s work on Vogue (US, UK, Paris, Japan & China editions), Elle (US, UK, Russia & Italy editions), GQ & British GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, V Magazine & VMAN, Nylon, WWD, Vanity Fair, Esquire US & UK, Porter & Mr Porter, Essence, TIME, Heroine & Grailed, The Modist, F*cking Young, and The New York Times.

1984年生まれ 神奈川県横浜市出身。2006年から2013年まで、日本のストリートシーンにおいて多大な影響を与えたアパレルブランド「NITRAID」にスタッフとして所属。その後写真家としてのキャリアをスタートさせ、現在に至るまで国内外の様々なアーティストを撮影。 2019年4月に初の単独展示「sleep is the cousin of death」を東京、札幌で開催。7月には長年交友のあるNITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUNDのデビュー20周年記念ライブ「LIVE19」の模様を、切り取った写真展「DSPTCH × NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND featuring cherry chill will / Yuji Kaneko“LIVE19” Photo Exhibition」をcherry chill will氏と開催。
2020年3月、およそ1年間撮り続け、約20000カットに及ぶ写真の中から選りすぐった舐達麻との写真展「LIFE STASH”」を開催。
アーティストの様々なライブの他、アパレルブランドのルック撮影もこなす、東京で幅広く活動している写真家の一人。

様々な雑誌やWeb媒体、カタログでのフォトグラファーとして活躍し、国内問わず多くのアーティストのポートレイト写真、ライブ写真も手掛ける。写真だけでなく、ムービー、グラフィックなど多様な手法で表現を続ける。
